I've been working on a few art pieces at the moment. Trying out some different techniques with the goal of doing a joint show sometime when I get back to OZ.

So I recently found out my friend and her partner are having a child. I decided to get them a gift to congratulate them on the fantastic news. Knowing that a gift is more fun when given as part of a game I introduced my Danish friends to play pass the parcel.

this is what I bought them

In preparation for the game, I wrapped the gift in a large number of layers of wrapping paper. With smaller prizes bring placed between all other layers of wrapping.

During the game, music is played as the parcel is passed around. Whoever is holding the parcel when the music is stopped removes one layer of wrapping and claims any prize found under that layer. The music is then restarted and the game continues until every layer is removed and the main prize claimed.

I only explained how this game works because a lot of my friends have no idea that it existed.

So St. Patricks day has arrived once again and it is nearly time to leave the house, drink beer and tell ridiculous jokes.

Last year on St. Patricks day I wrapped potatoes in individual bows and gave them out to my fellow drinkers at Pugs in Melbourne. Seemed quite funny but some of the younger crew had no idea of why that is funny

This year I have decided to make little shamrock cards that I will be giving out. They look like this...

and have silly sayings on the back like;
'Rock On, Leprechaun'

and

'this is no time to be sober'

bubbles

so i got a bubble blower yesterday and decided to take it out for a spin. ummm... so i think kids are onto something because bubbles are EXTREMELY FUN!!!!!

I challenge someone to find a happier place than a chocolate festival... maybe a unicorn festival but I am yet to hear about one of those.

double exposure = double the fun

been playing around with double exposure (taking two photos on a single frame of film). Produces some amazing results

it adds a somewhat dreamy feel to a photo
